The InfoGuru Manual: If you're an independent professional and are wondering about how to approach your marketing without losing your integrity and turning into a sleasy salesperson, Robert Middleton's approach is going to be breath of fresh air. He's a huge fan of questioning the mind and his materials are absolutely top notch.
The Attraction Toolkit: If there's something in your life that you've wanted but have't figured out how to get, you'll love The Attraction Toolkit. In addition to focusing on Feng Shui, Intentions, and Attraction principles, Vicky White includes the process of inquiry in her toolkit as away to "neutralize negative beliefs" so that you're more free to take action toward what you really want.
(Note: In the module that addresses self-inquiry you'll find an audio program where I'm facilitating several women who want to live passionate lives. They did amazing inquiry!)
Authentic Promotion with Molly Gordon: I met Molly Gordon at my second School for The Work back in 2003 and we've been in touch ever since. Molly is a popular business coach who can help you bring your true self into your business in a way that feels honest, not hypey. Check out her book Authentic Promotion as well as her insightful newsletter.
The Translucent Revolution - How People Just Like You Are Waking Up and Changing The World: Byron Katie is one of the many people featured in this book along with Ram Dass, Eckhart Tolle, Neal Donald Walsh and many others. This book will give you plenty of concepts to sit with. Question your mind and find out if they are true for you!
This is a list of my favorite books that have augmented my journey with inquiry. While they aren't directly about self-inquiry, I think you'll find them to be great springboards for your continued exploration.
The Dark Side of the Light Chasers: Debbie Ford's work about making friends with the shadow-self goes hand-in-hand with finding and living your turnarounds. And the way she speaks about projection really brings the concept home. She comes from the perspective that we are all things - both the things that seem bad, and the ones that seem good. In this book, Debbie Ford will support you in finding it all.
The Tao Te Ching: Byron Katie's husband Stephen Mitchell has translated this beloved text in a clear, crisp way that speaks right to the heart. It's wonderful to sit with the chapters and see where the mind goes. Often when I read this it feels like I'm reading a book full of beautiful turnarounds.
Fearless Living: This book by Rhonda Britten will really bring out the areas of your life where you're living in fear and aren't free. I found her book helpful in fleshing out stories that I could bring to inquiry. Read this book when you're ready to follow the exercises inside and find out what's keeping you stuck so that you can bring some awareness to it by using inquiry.
There Is Nothing Wrong With You: Cheri Huber has a way of cutting right through the fluff and distilling her message into fun, concise, and digestable bits. This books shines light onto that mind-chatter that has you beating yourself up. It's a book full of gems to sit with around the topic of self-judgments. (See also our audio program for help with painful self-talk.)
Getting Things Done: Does stress-free productivity sound like something you'd like more of in your life? David Allen's book on the subject can complement and enhance your practice of inquiry. David offers several paradigm shifts that can help bring your newfound clarity right to where the rubber meets the road. In business, family life, recreation, or anywhere else, you can have a "mind like water". (This book goes together perfectly with our home study course on Following the Voice of Clarity.)
Ready for Anything: When you've read David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD), you may want some additional support for implementing the GTD methodology into specific aspects of your life. Ready for Anything is a compilation of 52 of David Allen's best essays on various aspects of how to bring stress-free productivity into your everyday life.
